This series is about the differences in movement that arise from plastic distortions of paper. The removed shapes alter the papers behavior creating a type of consciousness associated with the shapes that are cut. The paper has become a active participant in the action of testing the attributes of potential movements under strict morphological limitations. A sculpture that changes and reveals transformative elastic behaviors associated strictly with the types of forms that are present. The transformation of the two dimensional paper into a curled and twisted overlapping sequence of internal windows creates a sequence of time since each rotation can be measured. This project is an attempt to understand more from a 2 dimensional work of art by manipulating it in such a way that the mind can perceive more and learn more.
